Peoples Democratic Party stalwart, Chief Bode George, has laughed off the presidential ambition of All Progressives Congress leader, Asiwaju Tinubu, labelling it a huge joke.

Chief Bode George said this during a chat with Punch Newspapers Monday while reacting to news that Bola Ahmed Tinubu has made his decision to run for the 2023 presidential poll known to President Muhammadu Buhari.

The former Deputy National Chairman of the PDP said that Bola Tinubu will be disappointed by the turn of event as the 2023 elections draws near, alleging that Tinubu as governor of Lagos State mismanagement the state resources, said it will be a slap on the South West to produce a candidate as Tinubu in the 2023 presidential bid.

“This so-called ambition must be a huge joke. The Presidency of Nigeria is not for characters like Bola Tinubu. Look at how he mismanaged the resources of Lagos State. It is surprising that he can even dream of becoming the President of Nigeria. He is living in cuckoo land,” said George.

Hooogenews reported that Bola Ahmed Tinubu has earlier Monday met with President Muhammadu Buhari to make his intentions known in respect to the 2023 presidential bid.

DRUG DEAL: NDLEA ARRAIGNED ABBA KYARI

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency - NDLEA has arraigned the embittered Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari at the Federal High Court in Abuja, on eight counts bordering on obstruction, conspiracy, and dealing in cocaine, and other related offences. In the charge filed through a team of lawyers led by its Director, Prosecution and Legal Services, Mr. Joseph Sunday, NDLEA accused Kyari and four other police officers of conspiracy, obstruction, and dealing in Cocaine worth 17.55 kilograms. They were also accused of tampering with 21.25kg of cocaine unlawfully. The Federal Government, last Thursday approved the request by the United States of America to extradite the suspended Kyari over alleged $1.1million wire fraud involving Abass Ramon aka Hushpuppi and four others. The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), made this known in an application filed before the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court in Abuja.
